📝 Instructions

11 steps
1

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until soft and translucent.

2

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for another minute until fragrant.

3

Add the spinach to the skillet, cooking until wilted (about 3-4 minutes). Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

4

In a large bowl, crumble the feta cheese and mix it with the beaten egg, chopped dill, salt, and black pepper.

5

Once the spinach mixture has cooled, squeeze out any excess liquid using your hands or a clean kitchen towel, then add it to the bowl with the feta mixture. Combine well.

6

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

7

Unroll the filo pastry and cover it with a damp cloth to prevent it from drying out. Take one sheet and brush it lightly with melted butter. Fold it lengthwise into thirds, creating a long strip.

8

Place one tablespoon of the spinach and feta filling at one end of the pastry strip. Fold it diagonally to form a triangle, then continue folding in a triangle pattern until the strip is completely wrapped. Repeat with the remaining filo sheets and filling.

9

Arrange the triangles on the prepared baking sheet and brush the tops with more melted butter.

10

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

11

Allow the triangles to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
