📝 Instructions

11 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2

Slice the French bread loaf lengthwise to create a top and bottom half. Scoop out some of the soft bread from the center to create space for the fillings.

3

Brush the interior of both halves lightly with melted butter. Place the halves cut side up on a baking sheet and toast in the oven for 5 minutes or until lightly golden.

4

In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and mustard together to create a spread.

5

Thinly slice the tomato, pickles, and red onion for layering.

6

Spread half of the mayonnaise-mustard mixture over the toasted bottom half of the bread.

7

Start layering the ingredients: first, lay the lettuce leaves flat across the bottom. Then add a layer of sliced turkey, followed by provolone cheese, sliced tomato, and a light sprinkle of salt and black pepper.

8

Continue layering with sliced ham, cheddar cheese, pickles, and red onion.

9

Spread the remaining mayonnaise-mustard mixture across the interior of the top half of the bread. Place it on top of the layered ingredients to close the loaf.

10

Use a sharp bread knife to carefully slice the loaf into 6 even portions. Secure each slice with a toothpick if needed.

11

Serve immediately or wrap tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 6 hours for flavors to meld.
