📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2

Take each slice of thick-cut bacon and gently twist it along its length to form a spiraled shape. Place the twisted bacon on the prepared baking sheet with space in between each piece.

3

Bake the bacon in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until crispy. Flip halfway through for even cooking. Once done, transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess grease.

4

While the bacon cooks, prepare the tomato jam. Dice the ripe tomatoes into small chunks.

5

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the diced tomatoes, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and resembles a jam-like texture. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

6

In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and garlic powder to make a garlic mayo. Set aside.

7

Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and toast the bread, butter-side down, until golden and crisp. Remove from the skillet.

8

To assemble the sandwiches, spread the garlic mayo on the non-buttered side of each toasted bread slice.

9

On two slices of bread, layer two lettuce leaves, 2-3 slices of twisted bacon, and a generous dollop of the tomato jam. Top with the remaining toasted bread slices (butter-side facing out).

10

Slice the sandwiches in half and serve immediately. Enjoy your Double T BLT with an extra twist of flavor and crunch!
