Drain the tofu and press it for at least 10 minutes to remove excess moisture. Use a tofu press or wrap it in paper towels and place it under a heavy object.
Cut the pressed tofu into small cubes approximately 1/2-inch in size.
Place the tofu cubes in a bowl and toss them with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
Heat the olive oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the tofu cubes and cook for 6β8 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden and crispy on all sides.
