Ideal for fans of European cuisine, this recipe is a must-try for lovers of kielbasa and horseradish pairings!
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) or set your broiler on high.
Slice the kielbasa sausage into thin rounds and set aside.
In a small bowl, mix the horseradish and mayonnaise until smooth. Taste and adjust the proportion to your liking if necessary.
Lightly butter one side of each slice of bread. Place the slices on a baking sheet, buttered-side up.
Toast the bread in the oven for 4-5 minutes or until it is golden brown on the edges. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
Remove the bread from the oven. Spread an even layer of the horseradish-mayo mixture on the untoasted side of each slice.
Top each slice with an even layer of the sliced kielbasa. Sprinkle grated cheese generously over the top of each sandwich.
Return the sandwiches to the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 1-2 minutes. If desired, sprinkle chopped parsley over the top for a fresh garnish.
Serve warm and enjoy your Grzanki z Kiełbasą!
