📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2

Unroll the refrigerated pie crusts onto a lightly floured surface. Use a round cookie cutter (about 3-4 inches in diameter) to cut out circles from the dough. Re-roll scraps to cut out additional circles if needed.

3

Press each dough circle into the wells of a greased muffin tin to form tart shells. Prick the bottoms of the shells with a fork to prevent puffing during baking.

4

Bake the tart shells in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes or until they are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let them cool completely in the muffin tin.

5

While the tart shells are baking, heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking it apart with a spatula, until browned and fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes.

6

Drain the excess grease from the skillet, then stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens slightly. Remove from heat.

7

Once the tart shells are cool, spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the taco meat mixture into each shell.

8

Top each tart with a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese while the meat is still warm to allow the cheese to melt slightly.

9

Add a dollop of sour cream to each tart, followed by diced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, sliced black olives, and a sprinkle of green onions.

10

Serve immediately and enjoy your Taco Tarts!
