Whip up a satisfying breakfast or brunch in just 25 minutes with this Shortcut Skillet Frittata! This oven-finished delight combines fluffy eggs, sautΓ©ed vegetables, and melted cheese for a versatile, flavor-packed dish thatβs as easy as it is impressive. Featuring nutritious ingredients like fresh spinach, sweet bell peppers, and optional savory bits of bacon, sausage, or ham, itβs a customizable recipe that suits any palate. The clever one-pan technique streamlines cooking and clean-up, while the oven broiler ensures a beautifully golden, puffed top. Perfect for busy mornings or a light dinner, this skillet frittata delivers hearty, wholesome flavor in every bite.
Preheat your oven broiler to high.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined. Set aside.
Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe, nonstick skillet over medium heat.
Add the diced onion and sautΓ© for 2β3 minutes, or until softened.
Stir in the minced garlic and diced bell pepper. Cook for another 2β3 minutes, until the bell pepper starts to soften.
Add the chopped spinach to the skillet and cook for 1β2 minutes, or until wilted.
If using cooked meat, stir it into the skillet at this point.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the vegetables (and meat, if added). Use a spatula to gently spread the mixture so it evenly covers the ingredients.
Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of the egg mixture.
Cook on medium heat for 5β7 minutes without stirring, until the edges are set but the center is still slightly jiggly.
Transfer the skillet to the oven under the broiler. Cook for 2β3 minutes, keeping a close eye on it, until the top is puffed up and golden brown.
Remove the skillet from the oven carefully (the handle will be very hot). Allow the frittata to cool for 1β2 minutes.
Slice into wedges and serve warm. Enjoy your Shortcut Skillet Frittata!
