📝 Instructions

9 steps
1

In a small saucepan, warm the milk over low heat until it is lukewarm (about 105-110°F/40-43°C). Remove it from heat and stir in the butter and sugar until the butter has melted completely. Set aside to cool slightly.

2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the lukewarm milk mixture and instant yeast. Stir gently and let it rest for 5 minutes until the yeast becomes foamy.

3

Add the egg, 2 cups of flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix until a sticky dough forms.

4

Gradually add the remaining 1 cup of flour, a little at a time, and knead the dough by hand or with a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, for about 8-10 minutes. The dough should be soft and just slightly sticky to the touch.

5

Lightly grease a large bowl with vegetable oil. Place the dough into the bowl and turn it to coat it lightly with oil. Cover with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for 1 to 1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

6

After the dough has risen, punch it down gently and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape each piece into a smooth ball.

7

Arrange the dough balls in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, spacing them evenly. Cover with plastic wrap or a towel, and let them rise again in a warm place for 30-45 minutes, or until puffy.

8

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Once risen, bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown on top.

9

Remove the rolls from the oven and immediately brush them with melted butter. Serve warm.
