📝 Instructions

9 steps
1

In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour and salt. Add the vegetable oil and rub it into the flour until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

2

Slowly add water to the flour mixture, a few tablespoons at a time, and knead it to form a firm dough. Cover and set aside for 20 minutes.

3

In another bowl, combine the crumbled cottage cheese, chopped mint, minced green chilies, ground cumin, chaat masala, lemon juice, and black pepper powder. Mix well.

4

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball, then flatten and roll it out into a thin circle approximately 6 inches in diameter.

5

Cut each circle in half to form two semi-circles. Take one semi-circle and fold it into a cone shape, sealing the edges with a little water.

6

Fill the cone with 1-2 teaspoons of the cottage cheese and mint mixture. Seal the open edge by pinching it together tightly. Repeat for all the dough and filling.

7

Heat the cooking oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, fry the samosas in batches until they are golden brown and crisp, about 4-5 minutes per batch.

8

Remove the fried samosas and drain them on a plate lined with paper towels to remove excess oil.

9

Serve warm with mint chutney or tamarind sauce for a perfect snack!
