- 1 cup brown sugar, packed

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease or line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
In a medium-sized saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chocolate chips together, stirring constantly until smooth. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it cool slightly for 5 minutes.
Whisk in the granulated sugar and brown sugar into the melted chocolate mixture until fully combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, and then stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate mixing bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
