📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.

2

Add the diced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and ground cinnamon to the saucepan. Stir well to combine.

3

Cook the apple mixture for 5-6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples soften.

4

In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add this slurry to the apple mixture and cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

5

Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean, flat surface. Place about 1 teaspoon of the apple filling in the center of the wrapper.

6

Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water using your finger or a small brush. Fold the wrapper diagonally to create a triangle, pressing the edges to seal tightly. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.

7

In a deep skillet or saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).

8

Carefully fry the wontons in batches, 2-3 at a time, for 1-2 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

9

Once all the wontons are fried and slightly cooled, dust them with powdered sugar for garnish.

10

Serve warm and enjoy your Easy Apple Pie Wontons!
