πŸ“ Instructions

9 steps
1

Peel the carrot and slice it into 18 thin rounds, roughly 1/4-inch thick. These will form the penguins' feet.

2

Cut a small triangular wedge out of each carrot slice. Save these carrot wedges as they will serve as the penguins' beaks.

3

Take a large black olive and cut a slit lengthwise down one side. This olive will form the penguin's body.

4

Fill the cavity of the large olive with cream cheese using a small spoon or a piping bag to create the penguin's white 'belly'. Wipe away any excess cream cheese from the outside of the olive.

5

Insert a saved carrot wedge into the pitted hole of a small black olive to create the penguin’s head and beak.

6

Stack the pieces: Place the cream cheese-filled large olive vertically on a carrot round (so the slit faces forward and looks like a white belly). Then place the small olive with the beak on top of the large olive to complete the body and head.

7

Secure all three pieces (carrot round, large olive, and small olive) with a toothpick going straight through the center.

8

Repeat the process for the remaining ingredients to make 18 penguins.

9

Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy these adorable appetizers!
