πŸ“ Instructions

11 steps
1

Line a 20x30 cm rectangular baking tin with baking paper, leaving an overhang on the sides to help remove the slice once set.

2

In a medium saucepan, add the sweetened condensed milk and butter. Place the saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth and combined.

3

Remove the saucepan from the heat and sift in the cocoa powder. Stir to combine.

4

Add the desiccated coconut and crushed digestive biscuits to the saucepan. Stir everything together until the mixture is evenly coated and well combined.

5

Press the mixture evenly into the prepared baking tin. Use the back of a spoon to smooth the surface.

6

Place the baking tin in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to allow the mixture to firm up.

7

In a heatproof bowl, melt the dark chocolate and 1 tablespoon of butter together over a pan of simmering water or in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.

8

Pour the melted chocolate over the chilled biscuit base, spreading it out evenly with a spatula.

9

Return the tin to the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours, or until the chocolate is set.

10

Once set, use the overhanging baking paper to lift the chocolate slice out of the tin. Cut into squares and serve.

11

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week.
