📝 Instructions

9 steps
1

Season the chicken breasts with salt, black pepper, and paprika on both sides.

2

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

3

Cook the chicken breasts for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C). Set aside to rest for 5 minutes before slicing into thin strips.

4

While the chicken is resting, slice the red bell pepper, green bell pepper, and yellow onion into thin strips. Mince the garlic cloves.

5

In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil and sauté the peppers, onion, and garlic for 5-7 minutes until softened and slightly caramelized. Season with a small pinch of salt and black pepper.

6

Toast the sandwich buns lightly on a dry pan or in the oven for 2-3 minutes until warm and slightly crisp.

7

Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the inside of each bun.

8

Assemble the sandwiches by layering lettuce leaves, sliced chicken, sautéed peppers and onions, and a slice of cheddar cheese on each bun. Add chopped fresh parsley for garnish if desired.

9

Cover with the top half of the bun, serve warm, and enjoy your Chicken and Pepper Sandwich!
