📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

2

Carefully slice off the top of the sourdough bread loaf and set the top aside. Hollow out the inside of the bread loaf to create a bowl, leaving about 1-inch (2.5 cm) thickness around the edges. Tear the removed bread into chunks for dipping, if desired.

3

In a medium skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

4

In a large mixing bowl, combine the thawed and drained spinach, cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, sautéed garlic, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix until thoroughly combined.

5

Spoon the spinach dip mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl. Place the bread bowl on a baking sheet and cover it loosely with aluminum foil.

6

Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

7

While the bread bowl is baking, arrange the bread chunks (or cubes) on a separate baking sheet. Toast in the oven for 5-7 minutes, or until lightly crispy, if desired.

8

Remove the spinach dip-filled bread bowl and bread chunks from the oven. Serve the warm spinach dip with the bread cubes, crackers, or vegetable sticks for dipping.
