πŸ“ Instructions

10 steps
1

Take the ribeye steak out of the fridge and let it come to room temperature, about 20 minutes.

2

Thinly slice the ribeye steak into strips and season with salt and black pepper. Set aside.

3

Slice the yellow onion and bell pepper into thin strips.

4

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and bell pepper and cook, stirring occasionally, for 8-10 minutes until soft and caramelized. Remove from skillet and set aside.

5

In the same skillet, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Increase heat to medium-high. Add the steak strips and cook for 4-5 minutes until browned but still tender. Remove from heat.

6

Slice the hoagie rolls in half and spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on each side.

7

Preheat the oven broiler to high. Place the rolls on a baking sheet, cut sides up, and toast lightly under the broiler for 1-2 minutes. Watch carefully to avoid burning.

8

To assemble the sandwiches, layer the cooked steak strips on the bottom half of each toasted roll. Top with caramelized onions and peppers, then place 2 slices of provolone cheese on top.

9

Place the assembled sandwiches under the broiler for another 1-2 minutes, or until the cheese has melted completely.

10

Remove from the oven, place the top half of the roll over the filling, and press down gently. Serve warm and enjoy!
