📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

Preheat your grill, grill pan, or skillet to medium-high heat.

2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Mix gently with your hands until the seasoning is evenly distributed, being careful not to overwork the meat.

3

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape them into burger patties, slightly larger than the size of the burger buns. Use your thumb to make a small indention in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.

4

Place the burger patties on the preheated grill or skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side for medium doneness, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

5

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and allow it to melt.

6

Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

7

Assemble the burgers. Spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun (optional). Place a lettuce leaf on top, then add a burger patty with melted cheese. Top with a slice of tomato and 2-3 tablespoons of salsa.

8

Finish with the top half of the bun. Serve immediately and enjoy!
