📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Boil a large pot of water (3 liters) and add 1 tablespoon of salt. Cook the fettuccine according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water. Set the pasta aside.

2

While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.

3

Season the salmon fillet with a pinch of salt and black pepper. Place it in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes per side, until fully cooked and flaky. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.

4

In the same skillet, melt the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.

5

Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream. Stir gently, then add the grated parmesan cheese. Continue stirring until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.

6

Flake the cooked salmon into bite-sized pieces and add it to the skillet. Stir gently to incorporate into the sauce.

7

Add the chopped fresh dill, lemon juice, and a pinch of black pepper. Stir to combine.

8

Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing it gently to coat in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a small amount of the reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.

9

Taste and adjust seasoning with additional salt or pepper as needed.

10

Serve immediately, garnished with extra dill or grated parmesan, if desired.
