📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2

In a small bowl, mix olive oil, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, ginger, cumin, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.

3

Pat the whole chicken dry with paper towels, then rub the marinade all over the chicken, including under the skin and inside the cavity. Set aside to marinate while preparing the stuffing.

4

In a mixing bowl, combine cooked jasmine rice, diced carrot, chopped green onions, water chestnuts, sesame oil, and chopped cilantro. Mix until evenly combined.

5

Stuff the cavity of the chicken with the rice mixture, pressing it in firmly but not overpacking it. Secure the cavity opening with kitchen twine or toothpicks.

6

Place the stuffed chicken on a roasting rack in a roasting pan, breast-side up. Brush the chicken with any remaining marinade.

7

Slice the lemon in half and place it around the chicken in the roasting pan for added aroma during cooking.

8

Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for approximately 90 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the thickest part of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C). Baste the chicken every 20-30 minutes with the pan juices.

9

Once fully cooked, remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before carving.

10

Serve the Oriental Roasted Stuffed Chicken with the stuffing and additional side dishes of your choice. Enjoy!
