📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Preheat the oven to 160°C (325°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded coconut and sweetened condensed milk. Stir until the mixture is well combined and moist.

3

In a separate mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites with a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium speed until foamy. Gradually add the sugar and continue to beat until the egg whites hold stiff peaks.

4

Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the coconut mixture. Use a spatula to fold carefully, maintaining as much air as possible.

5

Add the rose water, vanilla extract, and salt to the mixture. Stir gently until fully incorporated.

6

Using a medium cookie scoop or two spoons, drop mounds of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 1 inch apart.

7

If using dried rose petals for garnish, lightly press a few onto the tops of the macaroons before baking.

8

Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges of the macaroons are lightly golden and the tops are just set.

9

Remove the macaroons from the oven and allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

10

Serve the macaroons fresh, or store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Enjoy!
