📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

2

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs by carefully sliding a knife under the thin layer and pulling it off with a paper towel for better grip.

3

In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper.

4

Rub olive oil over both sides of the ribs, then generously apply the spice rub, ensuring even coverage.

5

Place the ribs on a large sheet of aluminum foil, bone-side down, and drizzle the apple juice over them. Wrap the ribs tightly in the foil to create a sealed packet.

6

Place the foil-wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and cook in the preheated oven for 3 hours, or until tender.

7

While the ribs are baking, prepare the barbecue glaze by combining your barbecue sauce with honey in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until warmed through, then set aside.

8

Once the ribs are done in the oven, carefully remove them from the foil and transfer them to a preheated grill (medium heat).

9

Brush one side of the ribs generously with the barbecue glaze and grill for 5–7 minutes. Flip the ribs, brush the other side with the glaze, and grill for an additional 5–7 minutes. Watch closely to avoid burning.

10

Remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with additional barbecue sauce on the side, if desired.
