📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

In a large bowl, combine ground pork, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly to evenly distribute the seasonings.

2

Divide the seasoned pork mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a rectangular patty, roughly the size of a hoagie roll.

3

Heat a large skillet or grill pan over medium heat and add the vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, place the pork patties into the pan.

4

Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature should reach 160°F (71°C). Remove the patties from the pan and set aside.

5

Reduce the heat to low and pour the barbecue sauce and water into the skillet. Stir to combine and let it warm up for about a minute.

6

Return the cooked pork patties to the skillet, spooning the barbecue sauce over them to coat evenly. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the patties are well-coated and heated through.

7

Slice the hoagie rolls in half lengthwise and lightly toast them if desired.

8

Place a barbecue-coated pork patty onto the bottom half of each hoagie roll.

9

Top each patty with 2 pickle slices and a few thin slices of onion, then place the top half of the roll over the fillings.

10

Serve the Mock McRibs immediately with your favorite sides and enjoy!
