📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

Boil 4 cups of water in a medium saucepan.

2

Remove the saucepan from heat and add the black tea bags. Let the tea steep for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bags and allow the tea to cool slightly.

3

While the tea is steeping, prepare the berries. Wash and hull the strawberries, then cut them into halves or quarters depending on their size. Wash and drain the blueberries and raspberries.

4

In a small saucepan, combine the strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and sugar with 1 cup of water. Simmer the mixture over medium heat for 7–10 minutes, gently stirring and mashing the berries with a spoon to release their juices.

5

Once the berry mixture is cooked, strain it through a fine mesh sieve into a bowl or pitcher, discarding the solids. Let the berry syrup cool to room temperature.

6

Combine the cooled tea, berry syrup, and lemon juice in a large pitcher. Stir well to incorporate all the flavors.

7

Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the mixed berry iced tea over the ice.

8

Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves, if desired, and serve immediately.
