📝 Instructions

11 steps
1

Cut the ciabatta loaf in half horizontally and then slice each half to make two sandwich tops and bottoms.

2

Spread 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard on the insides of each ciabatta bread piece.

3

Layer 4 slices of deli-style ham on the bottom half of each sandwich.

4

Place 2 slices of Swiss cheese on top of the ham on each sandwich.

5

Add 1/2 cup of baby arugula on top of the cheese for each sandwich.

6

Close the sandwiches with the tops of the ciabatta loaf.

7

Heat a panini press or a heavy skillet over medium heat.

8

While the panini press is heating, spread 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter on the outside of each sandwich.

9

Place the sandwiches into the panini press and close it. If using a skillet, place another heavy skillet on top to press the sandwich.

10

Cook until the bread is golden brown and crispy, and the cheese has melted, about 3-5 minutes.

11

Remove the panini from the press or skillet once cooked and let cool slightly. Slice each sandwich in half and serve immediately.
