📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the angel hair pasta according to the package instructions, usually 3-4 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set it aside.

2

Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season both sides with a pinch of salt and black pepper.

3

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until the butter melts and the mixture begins to bubble.

4

Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for 1 minute, stirring frequently, until fragrant (do not let the garlic burn).

5

Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

6

Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, lemon juice, and lemon zest to the skillet. Stir well to combine and allow the butter to melt.

7

Return the cooked angel hair pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat the pasta in the garlic butter sauce. If the mixture seems dry, add a bit of the reserved pasta water, a tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.

8

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and gently toss to combine with the pasta and sauce.

9

Taste and adjust the seasoning with additional salt and pepper, if needed.

10

Transfer the pasta and shrimp to serving plates. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Serve immediately and enjoy!
