📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions until al dente, about 9-11 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining, then set the pasta aside.

2

While the pasta cooks, pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper.

3

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

4

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

5

Stir in the butter and red pepper flakes, allowing the butter to melt completely. Add the lemon juice and reserved pasta water, stirring until well combined.

6

Return the cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet. Toss to coat everything evenly in the garlic-butter sauce. Adjust seasoning with the remaining salt and pepper, if needed.

7

Sprinkle the pasta with fresh parsley and grated parmesan cheese. Toss lightly and remove from heat.

8

Serve the Garlic Shrimp and Pasta immediately, garnished with extra parsley and parmesan if desired.
