📝 Instructions

9 steps
1

Roll each lemon on the countertop with slight pressure to loosen the juices before slicing them in half.

2

Juice the lemons using a citrus juicer or by hand, and strain the juice to remove any seeds. You should get approximately 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.

3

In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar completely dissolves. Remove from heat and let the syrup cool slightly.

4

In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice and the cooled sugar syrup.

5

Lightly bruise the fresh mint leaves by gently rubbing them between your fingers or using a wooden spoon. Add the mint leaves to the pitcher to infuse the lemonade with mint flavor.

6

Add the remaining 4 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir well.

7

Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld. For a stronger mint flavor, refrigerate longer.

8

Before serving, fill glasses with ice cubes. Pour in the minted lemonade and garnish with lemon slices and/or fresh mint sprigs if desired.

9

Serve chilled and enjoy!
