πŸ“ Instructions

8 steps
1

In a mixing bowl, combine shredded cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese. Mix well and divide the mixture into approximately 20 equal portions.

2

Roll each portion into a small ball using your hands. Place the balls on a tray and transfer them to the freezer to chill for 15–20 minutes. This will help the cheese balls hold their shape during frying.

3

While the cheese balls are chilling, prepare three separate bowls for dredging. In the first bowl, place the all-purpose flour mixed with cornstarch. In the second bowl, beat the eggs lightly. In the third bowl, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

4

Once the cheese balls are chilled, take them out of the freezer. Roll each ball thoroughly in the flour mixture, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it evenly in the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat for all the cheese balls.

5

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer or a heavy-bottomed pot to 180Β°C (350Β°F). Ensure there’s enough oil to fully submerge the cheese balls.

6

Carefully drop a few cheese balls into the hot oil, being cautious not to overcrowd the pan. Fry them for 2–3 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.

7

Using a slotted spoon, remove the cheese balls from the oil and drain them on a plate lined with paper towels.

8

Serve the deep-fried cheese balls hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as marinara, ranch, or spicy chili.
