📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

2

To make the tart crust, combine the all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl. Cut the cold unsalted butter into small cubes and rub it into the flour with your fingers until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

3

Add the cold water, one tablespoon at a time, and mix until the dough comes together. Form the dough into a disc, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 20 minutes.

4

Roll out the dough on a floured surface to fit a 23cm (9-inch) tart pan. Gently transfer the dough into the pan and press it into the edges. Trim any excess dough and prick the base with a fork.

5

Blind bake the crust by lining it with parchment paper and filling it with pie weights or dried beans. Bake for 15 minutes, then remove the weights and parchment paper and bake for another 5 minutes. Set aside to cool slightly.

6

In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, heavy cream, and eggs until smooth and creamy.

7

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, drained tuna, green onions, salt, black pepper, and dried thyme.

8

Pour the tuna mixture into the prepared tart crust, spreading it out evenly.

9

Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is lightly golden.

10

Allow the tart to cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your creamy tuna tart with a side salad or a light soup!
