📝 Instructions

12 steps
1

Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2

In a medium saucepan, combine butter, water, sugar, and salt. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat.

3

Once the butter is fully melted, add the flour all at once and stir vigorously with a wooden spoon until the mixture pulls away from the sides of the pan and forms a smooth ball (about 2-3 minutes).

4

Transfer the dough to a mixing bowl and let it cool for 5 minutes.

5

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition, until the dough is smooth and glossy.

6

Spoon or pipe the dough onto the prepared baking sheet into 2-inch mounds, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

7

Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the puffs are golden brown and puffed up. Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the puffs cool in the oven for 10 minutes to prevent deflation.

8

In a mixing bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Transfer the chocolate cream filling to a piping bag fitted with a round tip.

9

Once the cream puffs are completely cool, use a sharp knife to make a small hole in the bottom of each puff and pipe the chocolate cream filling inside.

10

For the glaze, melt dark chocolate with milk in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler until smooth. Stir well.

11

Dip the tops of the filled cream puffs into the melted chocolate glaze and let the excess drip off.

12

Place the cream puffs on a wire rack and allow the chocolate glaze to set before serving.
