📝 Instructions

9 steps
1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bow-tie pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and set aside.

2

While the pasta cooks, heat 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

3

Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper, and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

4

In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and olive oil. Reduce the heat to medium and sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant (do not let it burn).

5

Stir in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the Parmesan cheese gradually, stirring constantly, until it has melted and the sauce is smooth.

6

Add the frozen peas and cook for 2 minutes, until they are heated through.

7

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet, along with the cooked pasta. Toss everything together to coat in the sauce. If the sauce is too thick, stir in a bit of the reserved pasta water until it reaches your desired consistency.

8

Stir in the lemon juice, red pepper flakes (if using), and additional salt and pepper to taste.

9

Garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve immediately.
