📝 Instructions

12 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).

2

Pat the pork ribs dry with paper towels and remove the membrane from the back of the ribs, if not already done.

3

In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, Chinese five-spice powder, and black pepper to create the marinade/sauce.

4

Place the ribs on a large sheet of aluminum foil and brush the marinade generously over both sides of the ribs.

5

Wrap the ribs tightly in the foil to form a sealed packet and place the packet on a baking sheet.

6

Bake in the preheated oven for 2 hours, or until the ribs are tender when tested with a fork.

7

Carefully remove the ribs from the oven and open the foil packet. Transfer any juices from the packet into a small saucepan.

8

Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C).

9

Simmer the reserved juices on the stovetop over medium heat for 5-10 minutes, or until thickened into a glaze.

10

Brush the glaze over the ribs and place them back into the oven, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes, or until the glaze is caramelized and sticky.

11

Once done, remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before cutting into individual pieces.

12

Garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy!
