Perfect for busy bakers, it requires just 5 minutes of preparation before baking to golden perfection in under 30 minutes. Serve it as a guilt-free dessert on its own or elevate it with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of fresh fruit for a show-stopping finish. Whether for a casual weeknight or a festive gathering, this one-bowl pineapple cake is sure to delight.
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Do NOT grease the pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the entire box of angel food cake mix with the can of crushed pineapple, including the juice.
Using a rubber spatula or large spoon, gently mix the ingredients until fully combined. The batter will become frothy as the pineapple reacts with the cake mix.
Carefully pour the batter into an ungreased 9x13-inch baking pan or tube pan.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool upside down (if using a tube pan) or on a cooling rack (if using a rectangular pan) for at least 1 hour.
Once completely cooled, gently loosen the edges with a knife and remove from the pan.
Slice and serve as is, or top with whipped cream and fresh fruit for an extra treat!
