📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

Wash and thoroughly dry the strawberries. Make sure no moisture remains as it can cause the chocolate to seize.

2

Prepare two microwave-safe bowls. In one bowl, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil or shortening. In the second bowl, combine the white chocolate chips with the remaining 1 teaspoon of coconut oil or shortening.

3

Melt the semi-sweet chocolate in 30-second intervals in the microwave, stirring after each interval, until smooth and fully melted. Repeat the process for the white chocolate in its separate bowl.

4

Hold a strawberry by the stem and dip it into the bowl of melted white chocolate, coating it completely. Let any excess chocolate drip off before placing the strawberry on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Repeat with all the strawberries. Allow them to set for about 5 minutes.

5

Once the white chocolate layer has set, dip each strawberry into the melted semi-sweet chocolate at a 45-degree angle on each side, leaving a triangular section of white chocolate visible in the middle. This creates the appearance of a tuxedo. Place the strawberries back on the parchment-lined baking sheet.

6

Using a toothpick or the tip of a piping bag filled with the remaining melted semi-sweet chocolate, draw small buttons and a bow tie on the white chocolate ‘shirt’ section to complete the tuxedo look.

7

Let the strawberries set at room temperature for approximately 30 minutes, or refrigerate for 15 minutes if you want them to set faster.

8

Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Best served fresh!
