📝 Instructions

9 steps
1

Pat the tuna steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides of each steak evenly with salt and black pepper.

2

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add two tuna steaks to the skillet and sear for 1-2 minutes per side for medium-rare, or cook to your desired level of doneness. Remove from the skillet and transfer to a plate. Repeat with the remaining tuna steaks, using the second tablespoon of olive oil. Set aside and keep warm.

3

Reduce the heat to medium and add 1 tablespoon of butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

4

Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they turn pink and are just cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

5

In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and pour in the chicken or seafood stock. Use a wooden spoon to scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.

6

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.

7

Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and lemon juice, and whisk until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth.

8

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and let them heat through in the sauce for 1-2 minutes. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasoning with additional salt or pepper, if needed.

9

Arrange the tuna steaks on plates and spoon the creamy shrimp sauce over each one. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
