📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

Prepare all ingredients by slicing the beef into thin strips, trimming the green beans, and finely slicing the chilies. Mince the garlic and pluck the basil leaves from their stems.

2

Mix the soy sauce, fish sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, and brown sugar in a small bowl to create the stir fry sauce. Set aside.

3

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large wok or frying pan over high heat. When hot, add the beef slices and stir fry for 2–3 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef from the wok and set aside.

4

In the same wok, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the minced garlic and sliced chili, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.

5

Add the green beans to the wok and stir fry for 2 minutes, ensuring they are coated in the garlic and chili oil and slightly softened but still crisp.

6

Return the cooked beef to the wok along with the prepared stir fry sauce. Toss everything together and cook for another 1–2 minutes, ensuring the beef and beans are well coated, and the sauce is heated through.

7

Remove the wok from heat and stir in the fresh basil leaves. Allow the residual heat to wilt the basil gently.

8

Serve immediately over steamed jasmine rice, garnished with lime wedges for squeezing over the dish to enhance the flavor.
