πŸ“ Instructions

10 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C) and grease a 9x13-inch casserole dish.

2

Remove the outer leaves from the cabbage, cut it into quarters, and remove the core. Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces.

3

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and blanch the cabbage pieces for 3–4 minutes, until slightly tender. Drain and set aside.

4

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 4–5 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.

5

Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking it into small crumbles. Drain any excess fat.

6

Stir the cooked rice, diced tomatoes (with juices), tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, broth, paprika, salt, and black pepper into the skillet with the beef mixture. Mix well and let simmer for 5 minutes.

7

Layer half of the blanched cabbage in the bottom of the prepared casserole dish. Spread half of the beef and rice mixture evenly over the cabbage. Repeat with the remaining cabbage and beef mixture.

8

Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly across the top of the casserole.

9

Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

10

Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy your Tasty Cabbage Casserole!
