πŸ“ Instructions

10 steps
1

Peel and cut the carrots into 2-inch pieces. Quarter the onions, and peel and quarter the potatoes. Set aside.

2

Place the corned beef brisket into the slow cooker, fat side up. Sprinkle the included spice packet over the brisket.

3

Add the minced garlic, whole peppercorns, and bay leaves to the slow cooker.

4

Arrange the carrots, onions, and potatoes around the brisket in the slow cooker.

5

Pour in the beef broth and water, ensuring that the brisket and vegetables are mostly submerged in liquid.

6

Cover the slow cooker with the lid and set it to cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours.

7

An hour before the cooking time ends, cut the head of cabbage into wedges and add it to the slow cooker on top of the other ingredients.

8

At the end of the cooking time, check that the brisket is fork-tender. If it isn't, continue cooking for an additional 30 minutes and check again.

9

Remove the brisket from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 minutes. Slice it against the grain for serving.

10

Serve the sliced corned beef with the cooked vegetables and a ladle of the flavorful broth over the top. Enjoy!
