📝 Instructions

12 steps
1

Finely chop the shrimp and place them in a bowl.

2

Add grated ginger, minced garlic, sliced green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper to the shrimp. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.

3

Take a wonton wrapper and place it on a clean surface. Keep a bowl of water nearby.

4

Spoon about one teaspoon of the shrimp mixture into the center of the wonton wrapper.

5

Dip your finger into the water and moisten the edges of the wrapper lightly.

6

Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, pressing the edges together to seal. Ensure there are no air bubbles.

7

Bring the two opposite corners of the triangle towards each other and seal them with a bit of water, forming a 'nurse cap' shape.

8

Repeat the filling and folding process with the remaining wrappers and shrimp mixture.

9

Heat the cooking oil in a deep pan or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C).

10

Carefully add wontons, in batches, to the hot oil. Fry for 3-4 minutes or until the wontons are golden brown and crispy.

11

Remove the fried wontons using a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.

12

Serve the shrimp wontons hot with your choice of dipping sauce.
