Elegant yet playful, this recipe will transform your dessert repertoire into a show-stopping celebration of color and taste!
Prepare a 9x13-inch glass dish or a similar large, flat dish for the layers.
Dissolve the first flavor of Jello (use one 3-ounce box) in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved.
Add 1/2 cup of cold water to the dissolved Jello mixture. Pour this mixture into the dish to create the first layer.
Refrigerate the dish for 20-25 minutes, or until the Jello is just set and no longer liquid.
In a small bowl, dissolve 1 teaspoon of unflavored gelatin in 1/4 cup boiling water. Stir well.
In a separate bowl, combine half of the can of sweetened condensed milk and 3/4 cup of boiling water. Add the dissolved unflavored gelatin and mix to create a creamy white layer.
Pour the creamy layer gently over the set Jello layer using a spoon to diffuse the pour and prevent mixing. Refrigerate for 20-25 minutes until just set.
Repeat steps 2 to 7, alternating between clear Jello layers (with 1 cup boiling water + 1/2 cup cold water) and creamy layers (made with sweetened condensed milk and gelatin). Use a new flavor of Jello powder for each clear layer.
Continue until all seven layers are complete (4 clear Jello layers and 3 creamy layers). Let each layer set before adding the next.
After the final layer is added, refrigerate the completed dessert for at least 2-4 hours, or until fully firm.
Once set, cut the Seven Layer Jello into squares or desired shapes and serve cold.
