πŸ“ Instructions

7 steps
1

Lightly grease a 9x13-inch glass dish or pan with non-stick spray to ensure easy slicing and serving.

2

Prepare the red Jell-O: In a small bowl, mix 1 packet of red Jell-O with 1 cup of boiling water until completely dissolved. Stir in 1/2 cup of cold water. Pour this into the prepared pan and refrigerate for 30 minutes, or until the layer is set but not firm.

3

While the red layer sets, prepare the creamy layer: In a small saucepan, dissolve 2 packets of unflavored gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Once dissolved, stir in 1 can (14 oz) of sweetened condensed milk, followed by 1/2 cup of cold water. Allow to cool to room temperature.

4

Once the red layer is set, gently pour 3/4 cup of the creamy mixture over the red layer. Use the back of a spoon to gently diffuse the pour and avoid disrupting the layer. Return to the refrigerator for 20 minutes, or until set but not firm.

5

Repeat steps 2 through 4 for each additional Jell-O color (orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple). Ensure that each Jell-O and creamy layer is fully set before adding the next layer. Clean the saucepan as needed for the creamy layer.

6

Once the final purple layer is added, refrigerate the entire dish for at least 2 hours, or until completely firm. This ensures all the layers are stable for slicing.

7

Once set, carefully slice the Rainbow Jell-O into squares or other shapes using a sharp knife. Serve chilled and enjoy!
