📝 Instructions

9 steps
1

Begin by preparing the garlic and chilies. Peel the garlic cloves and finely mince them. Then, finely chop the bird's eye chilies. For less heat, you can reduce the number of chilies or remove the seeds.

2

Pick the holy basil leaves off the stems, rinse them under cold water, and pat them dry. Set aside.

3

In a small bowl, combine the fish sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and water. Stir well to dissolve the sugar.

4

Heat a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the vegetable oil and let it heat up for a few seconds.

5

Add the minced garlic and chopped chilies to the wok. Stir-fry for 30 seconds to release their aroma, being careful not to burn the garlic.

6

Add the ground pork to the wok. Break it up with a wooden spoon or spatula and stir-fry until fully cooked and browned, about 4–5 minutes.

7

Pour the sauce mixture over the cooked pork. Stir well to coat evenly and let the sauce simmer for 1–2 minutes.

8

Remove the wok from the heat and immediately toss in the holy basil leaves. Stir until the leaves are wilted and fragrant.

9

Serve the pork basil and chili stir-fry hot over steamed jasmine rice.
