πŸ“ Instructions

11 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 180Β°C (350Β°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper.

3

Add the unsalted butter, cut into small cubes, to the dry ingredients. Rub the butter into the flour mixture using your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse breadcrumbs.

4

In a small bowl, whisk together the egg yolk and cold water.

5

Add the egg yolk mixture to the flour and butter mixture, stirring until a dough begins to form. If the dough is too crumbly, add a few more drops of cold water, one at a time, until it comes together.

6

Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Gently knead it a few times until it forms a smooth ball. Flatten the dough slightly, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

7

After chilling, roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) thickness.

8

Use a biscuit cutter or a round cookie cutter to cut out shapes. Place the shaped biscuits onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving a bit of space between each one.

9

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges of the biscuits turn golden brown.

10

Remove the biscuits from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

11

Serve warm or at room temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
