📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Wash the jalapenos thoroughly. Remove the stems and seeds for a milder jelly, or keep some seeds for extra heat. Finely chop the jalapenos.

2

In a large saucepan, combine the chopped jalapenos, orange juice, water, and apple cider vinegar. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.

3

Add the granulated sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Continue to boil the mixture for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

4

Add the orange zest and bring the mixture back to a rolling boil.

5

Stir in the liquid pectin and boil for exactly 1 minute, stirring constantly.

6

Remove the saucepan from heat and skim off any foam that forms on the surface of the mixture.

7

Carefully ladle the hot jelly into sterilized jars, leaving about 1/4 inch of headspace. Wipe the rims clean and seal with sterilized lids and bands.

8

Process the jars in a boiling water bath for 10 minutes to ensure proper sealing and preservation.

9

Remove the jars from the water bath and let them cool completely on a towel or cooling rack. You should hear the lids pop as they seal.

10

Once the jars are cool, check the seals by pressing down on the center of each lid. If the lid does not move, the jar is sealed. Store in a cool, dark place for up to a year. Refrigerate after opening.
