📝 Instructions

10 steps
1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2

In a medium saucepan, combine 150 grams of granulated sugar and 3 tablespoons of water. Heat over medium-low, stirring occasionally, until it turns a deep amber color, about 8-10 minutes.

3

Carefully pour the hot caramel into the bottom of a 9-inch round flan or cake pan, tilting the pan so the caramel coats the bottom evenly. Set aside to cool.

4

In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, orange juice, orange zest, eggs, remaining 50 grams of sugar, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and evenly mixed.

5

Pour the mixture gently over the caramel-coated pan.

6

Place the flan pan inside a larger baking dish. Pour hot water into the larger dish until it reaches halfway up the sides of the flan pan to create a water bath.

7

Carefully place the dish into the preheated oven and bake for about 60 minutes, or until the flan is set but still slightly wobbly in the center.

8

Remove the flan pan from the water bath and let it cool to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.

9

To serve, run a knife around the edges of the flan to loosen it. Place a large serving plate over the flan pan and quickly invert to release the flan onto the plate, allowing the caramel to drizzle over the top.

10

Slice and serve chilled. Enjoy your Orange Flan!
