Ingredients
- 6 cups Rice Chex cereal
- 1 cup Nutella (hazelnut spread)
- 1 cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
- 1.5 cups Powdered sugar
Instructions
Place the Rice Chex cereal in a large mixing bowl and set aside.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the Nutella, semi-sweet chocolate chips, and unsalted butter.
Microwave the mixture on high for 30 seconds, then stir. Continue microwaving in 15-second intervals, stirring each time, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted.
Stir in the vanilla extract until evenly combined.
Pour the melted Nutella mixture over the Rice Chex cereal. Gently toss with a spatula until all the cereal is evenly coated.
Transfer the coated cereal into a large zip-top bag or a sealable container. Add the powdered sugar to the bag or container.
Seal tightly and shake vigorously until the cereal is fully coated with powdered sugar.
Spread the Nutella Buddies out on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper to cool and set, about 10 minutes.
