Place the ingredients in the bread machine pan in the following order: pineapple juice, water, melted unsalted butter, 1 egg, granulated sugar, salt, bread flour, and instant yeast.
Set the bread machine to the 'Dough' cycle and press start. Allow the machine to knead and rise the dough (about 90 minutes depending on the machine).
After the dough cycle completes, lightly flour a clean surface and turn out the dough. Divide it into 12 equal portions using a bench scraper or knife.
Form each portion into a smooth ball and place them evenly spaced in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Cover the baking dish with a clean kitchen towel and allow the rolls to rise in a warm, draft-free place for 30-45 minutes, until they double in size.
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a small bowl, whisk together 1 tablespoon of milk and the remaining egg to create an egg wash. Lightly brush the tops of the rolls with the mixture.
Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
Remove from the oven and allow the rolls to cool slightly before serving. They are best served warm.
