πŸ“ Instructions

9 steps
1

Slice the Cuban bread loaf horizontally into two halves. If using a baguette, cut it into two portions before slicing each horizontally.

2

Spread 1 1/2 tablespoons of yellow mustard evenly across the inside of each half of the bread.

3

Layer 4 ounces of roast pork, 4 ounces of sliced ham, 3 slices of Swiss cheese, and 3 slices of dill pickles onto the bottom half of each sandwich.

4

Close the sandwiches with the top halves of the bread, pressing gently to compact the filling.

5

Preheat a grill pan or panini press over medium heat.

6

Lightly butter the outside of both the top and bottom of each sandwich with 1 tablespoon of butter per sandwich.

7

If using a grill pan, place a heavy skillet or wrapped brick on top of the sandwich to press it down. Cook for 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and repeat on the other until the bread is golden and crispy, and the cheese is melted.

8

If using a panini press, grill for about 5-6 minutes until golden and heated through.

9

Remove from heat, allow the sandwiches to cool slightly, and then slice them in half before serving.
