📝 Instructions

8 steps
1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the linguini according to the package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.

2

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and season with salt and black pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

3

Reduce the heat to medium-low and add the butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

4

Stir in the chicken broth, white wine, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Increase the heat to medium and let the mixture simmer for 4-5 minutes, reducing slightly.

5

Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Simmer for 1-2 minutes to heat through.

6

Add the cooked linguini to the skillet, tossing to combine. If the sauce seems too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.

7

Stir in the fresh parsley and adjust seasoning with additional salt and black pepper, if needed.

8

Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
