📝 Instructions

11 steps
1

Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized cubes and set aside.

2

In a bowl, combine the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

3

In a separate bowl, whisk the egg with 2 tablespoons of water.

4

Dredge the chicken cubes in the flour mixture, then dip them in the egg mixture, and coat them again in the flour mixture. Shake off any excess coating.

5

In a large skillet or saucepan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

6

Fry the coated chicken pieces in batches for 4-5 minutes per batch, or until golden brown and fully cooked. Drain on paper towels and set aside.

7

In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.

8

In a small bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water to create a slurry. Add this to the simmering sauce, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.

9

Remove the sauce from heat and toss the fried chicken bites in the glaze until evenly coated.

10

Sprinkle the sesame seeds and green onions over the glazed chicken bites.

11

Serve immediately and enjoy!
